PostHeaderIcon Is there a way to get my dog to stop snoring?

He sleeps at the end of my bed and some nights it wakes me up it’s so loud!
He farts too but I think that’s a different issue. He’s a cocker spaniel.

LOL sorry to laugh at you, but I have the same problem. Is your dog a pug? Mine is and he snores so loud that it is funny. If I have company sleep over, they always tell me they heard me snoring all night and I laugh and say no, its the dog, and they look at the little precious thing and say, no way, quit trying to blame the dog. He sounds like a jet airplane taking off. I have asked the vet and he says nothing I can do because the pugs have such a short airway they can’t help it. So if you have a pug or a dog with a smushed face, you can just get used to it. I got a sound machine that makes fan noise and it has an attachment that lays right on the pillow next to my head and it cuts down the snoring noise. I got mine on Ebay cheap so try it. Search for sound machines or noise makers….Good luck and kiss the doggie for me.

Simple, kick him out and make him sleep in the garage.

If it is a bulldog breed, mastiff, or boxer you are doomed! But it does help to move the dog to another position. You can also have surgery on the dog to shorten its soft palate, which may or may not help.
