Snoring boyfriend?
I really think I’m going to kill my boyfriend. I’m at my whits end. He snores like fat hippo….. or what I would imagine a fat hoppo to snore like.
I’ve had barely any sleep the last few nights, last night only managed about 4 and I am a person who needs my sleep. I’m meant to be up in hrs for work but I can’t even get to sleep because of his stupid snoring. I am really beginning to resent him for it.
He has tried nasal strips… he snores with them on believe it or not. He used to stop when he rolled onto his side, only now I’ve nudged him to do this so many times he’s adapted to snoring on his side. Wonderful.
What else can I do? I’M GOING TO KILL HIM! I am so, so tired! Anything else work for snoring? Ear plugs just hurt or fall out and I dont really want to sleep in another room… tho I may have to tonight.
No stupid answers please, like the first I got. I want to know if anyone has any tried and tested remedies to help. Thanks xXx
I feel sorry for you, I had the same trouble with my x boyfriend, his snoring was so bad, he tried everything, nose strips etc, there is a nasal spray you can get, depending where you live, if you are in the UK then it’s called ‘Snore No More’spray £8.50 for 10ml or you can get a Homeopathic remedy from Amazon.com it’s called ‘Y-Snore Homeopathic Nasal Pump $10.08. you can get these strips that go on the nose they are meant to help you spot snoring.you get them from the chemist or your GP.if they don’t help kick him and tell him to lie on his front.

My boyfriend snores REALLY badly and I end up getting angry with him. I have tried rolling him over like you,and have even thrown water over him in the past so he would stop snoring – didn’t work anyway!
Have you tried those nose opener things? I;ve seen them on an advert on TV – they open the nasal passages or something.

go to ur doc…. my cuzin has a husbnd and he sounds worse than a fat hippo…more like a fat elephant and he went to the doctor and he got a snore machine………. it works great!!! alll he does is breath hard!!

First thing that comes to mind, could he be sleeping on his back, that is usually the cause, my fiance snores when he is on his back, but I just zone it out or put my ipod on or just kick him! lol

perhaps you could convince him to see the doc with you, cause its obviously affecting your health too if its stopping you getting your sleep.
has he put any weight on recently? as this can affect snoring…or if he is drinking alot of alcohol then this increases snoring volume… (sorry if hes not overweight or drinking, but you havent said…!)

Have him wear a mouth guard at night (sports department). It will keep his mouth closed. That should stop it. It will take him a couple of weeks to get used to it.
